Privacy Policy

We collect and use personal data only as needed to deliver products to you. We also keep a mailing list to continue to inform you of news and events relating to JCM.

The information we keep may include your name, address, telephone number, email address and other data which may identify you.

What information do we collect?

We collect and hold data when:

  • You purchase an item through the online store or make an order in person which must be posted. We use this information to process your order. We do not keep payment information.
  • If you contact JCM to make an enquiry. We keep and use this in relation to your enquiry.
  • You sign up the newsletter either online or in person. We use these details to send you information about JCM events and news in the format you have requested.

How we use your data

We only use your data in relation to the operation of JCM in the manner you have specified (e.g. to process an order or to send you mailings)

Communicating with you

We send out a newsletter with news offers and events relating only to JCM. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email.

We may also make contact regarding purchases for quality or monitoring purposes only.

3rd Parties

Mailing data is maintained through Mailchimp, a secure 3rd party mailings website which is signed up to ‘Privacy Shield’ signalling their commitment to keeping your information secure. PayPal is the chosen payment gateway for the same reasons. I never see your private payment information.

Very occasionally third parties may operate despatch for us. We will only share the minimum information to process your order. We do not permit these parties to use such information for any other purpose than to perform the services they have been instructed to provide by us.  We may also need to disclose your information if required to do so by law.

We use plug-ins to operate some functions of the website, for example to assist sharing on social media platforms. We chose these plug-ins carefully to ensure they have a GDPR compliant operating procedure and policy.

We embed a Facebook widget to allow you to see number of likes/shares/recommends and “like/share/recommend” our webpages. This widget may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the widget (such as “liking/sharing/recommending” our webpage), if you are logged in to Facebook. We use a Twitter Tweet widget at our website. As a result, our website makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to tweet our webpages using your Twitter account. We use a Linkedin Share widget at our website to allow you to share our webpages on Linkedin. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their data privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

JC Middlebrook will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that you provide personal information in a secure and confidential environment and when the information is no longer needed it will be destroyed or permanently rendered anonymous.  To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

These procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure your data is kept secure and that we are compliant with legal requirements and your own personal wishes.

Personal or identifiable data retained for as long as reasonable for legal or business purposes. These periods may include time for contract law or similar obligations, and to maintain adequate business and financial records.
