Spring update – C19 and other distractions

If you follow me on social media, you’ll already know that I’m in last few months of a part-time Masters degree in Fashion & Textile Design. Based at Nottingham Trent University, where I also work a little, I thought I could juggle home, business and study. That all the elements of my life would effortlessly slot together… ok, ok stop sniggering at the back! The best-laid plans went astray, and I found it hard to focus on everything at once, so JC Middlebrook took a back seat for a while.

Just breathe…

You have been wonderful supporters, patient and generous. Everything I could have hoped for, and I thank you. I’m still studying, working on my lighting installation and the lace to go with it. As everyone, I’m staying at home to try and limit the spread of Covid-19 virus and hoping that there’s an economy to graduate into.

Thanks to Covid-19 and social distancing, I’m now back in the JCM studio, rather than the MA studio at uni. My online shop is open and I can fulfill orders alongside my studies. There may come a time when supplies run low or sickness strikes, so please be patient if there are delays. I will try to keep you updated.

Unless the advice changes, I can post out orders* made via the website (20% off for newsletter subscribers for March 2020) or via social media -check out my lace sale on instagram, Facebook and Twitter. *within the UK, international orders may be delayed.

If you would like to see what I’m working for my MA, please check out my instagram. I post more WIP images and updates there. HOPEFULLY, the final ‘Mastered’ exhibition will open in July. I’ll invite you all to see it when the time comes. In the meantime, be excellent to each other and buy handmade!
