Last month I presented a new collection of work during the Independent Fashion Festival for Nottingham Fashion Week. I’ve been working on a new skull motif since my original design was picked up by so many of my fellow designers and customers. Brigitte even made my small ‘Jasper’ skull in silver, and my PorceLace partner, Samantha, made a spooky tealight holder.
So I’ve been busy designing a new skull motif which can be combined to create all over lace designs or stand alone motifs for earrings. The earrings are very simple textile shapes and the cuff is a simple lacelet, fastening with a small button. There are two necklace shapes, a ‘chain’ style, and a round, ‘collar’ style. Luckily for me, Nottingham fashion brand One BC took a liking to the design and featured it during their catwalk show.
